A Family Affair
Lino saw my work on a cruise ship, which is where this one began.
The brief, in brief: to capture and reflect the very different personalities of this family, and the closeness between them. Family vacations are important, and so is time spent together.
It is all the little things that tell the story. The family flag and their sayings, information on everyone’s passions and interests, and lots of pictures of their most favourite styles of clothing, accessories and jewellery, all helping to add little surprises and touches into the painting. I was also able to include the book the mother herself authored. All topped off with the family’s favourite champagne.
Half the pleasure is what a client finds afterwards. Look at the life buoy on the rail and you will see the family name, and one of their own sayings painted around it. Little bits that mean nothing to anyone else and everything to them.
