A little piece of Noosa history. I was lucky enough to capture this eclectic little space nestled amongst the huge fig trees on Hastings Street before it was all lost. Suzi's fruit stall, with all the uneven terracotta bricks and the character and charm that went with it. Gone now, but definitely not forgotten. Reproductions available on request.

I caught sight of it while travelling through the Bathurst area in New South Wales. A whole hillside, slopes and paddocks of vibrant purple. Stunning. It turned out to be a notorious weed called Paterson's Curse, said to have escaped in the 1880s from the gardens of a family called Paterson.

No rainbows with pots of gold, but paddocks bathed in the golden glow of the afternoon sun.

Trying to capture the magical world of the Australian bush, and the whole essence of it happening all on its own.

Three zebras in the long grass, and really it is the colours doing the work. Rust and gold in the grass against the soft green behind, with the black and white sitting right between them. Painted first as a commission for a family who loved zebras. No two of them carry the same pattern, so every zebra is its own portrait.
