Living the Dream

An engagement and wedding present for Wayne and Lianne, who worked aboard Royal Caribbean cruise lines. Wayne was the auctioneer and ran the art programme and the gallery, and Lianne was his assistant, looking after the admin.

They always said they were living the dream, travelling the world on a cruise ship while they worked. They were absolutely delightful, and their outfits would be recognisable to anyone who had seen them on their cruise holiday.

Being English, they loved getting out onto the beaches, so that is where I put them, with their ship in the background behind them.

The painting she is holding was Lianne’s all time favourite of mine. Wayne was very attached to his gavel.
