The Italy Connection

The lady in the middle got in touch after seeing my work in a gallery. Every few years these five best friends travel to Italy together, and it is their very favourite place in the world.

She asked for it in the style of my French Connection series, which are all painted with a three inch palette knife. That turned out to be exactly right for the old rustic buildings and bridges of Italy.

And so an Italian Connection series began.
